Simple Prayers

This morning as I spent some moments in quiet, I asked God  to show me one simple thing I can do today to connect with Him.  It wasn’t long after that I picked up a book I read last fall titled “Same Kind Of Different As Me.” (For those who read, I would highly recommend it)  In the book I read this line that rocked me back on my heels.  It said, “Recycle the love you’ve been given to somebody that’s not easy to love.”

A few years ago I determined that I would live my life loved, in other words that I would live to trust, experience and believe daily that God loves me.  By doing so, I believed that God would deeply transform me into the woman He created me to be.  With praise and glory to God, He is helping me on that journey.

There are always next steps though. Now I am to recycle that love not only to those who are easy to love, but to those who are far different than me, those I don’t understand or those who don’t like me.  Might I add this isn’t just in word but in deed.

Well so much for asking God for a simple way to connect to Him :)  He has a way of answering our prayers.

What a challenge! I have always said, "when you ask God something, DUCK!" He is good at doing this, huh? I guess loving the unlovable is kina his gig- :) thanks for challenging me today.

Wow.....how inspiring Cathy!!! Doing such a task is not ever easy but has infinite rewards in merely addressing what the Lord has laid on our hearts. Thanks so much for sharing!
